Honestly, it’s not hard for me to find a guy who is good looking or successful – but I don’t just want any guy. I want someone who is special in every way and makes me feel electric. If the Bachelor was chosen out of hundreds of guys, he must have that something that the others don’t …and I am going to find out what it is.

Bright lights. Sweaty palms. My heart beating like a hummingbird, and there I was at the auditions. After answering my very first question, I had a funny feeling that I just made the cut.

When I was 13, I was invisible. The only time girls talked to me was when they liked my outfit or my jewellery, since my mother travelled around the world and always brought back the cutest, trendiest things. Girls would ask to borrow my red winter coat all the time, because it was the same red coat that Little Red Riding Hood wore and being the doormat that I was, I always let them borrow it.

“Am I really going to be on TV looking for the man of my dreams?” I asked myself repeatedly.

It seemed unreal. It seemed too good to be true. It was unbelievable for a girl like me because I was invisible my entire life.

I was excited. I was nervous. I remember sitting on my bed with the ticket in my hand, and for someone who has travelled all around the world – and has been to places that most people have never even heard of – it was odd that I had to Google British Columbia!
